That's a Nice One.

I can't decide whether I feel bad that I'm a bit behind with my recent updates - so many photos, so few days in the week - or whether I'm pretty happy to have a little back log to refer back to when lacking inspiration. I'm pretty sure that I'm the latter, the weather has been so nice all week and I've been so sleepy (and grumpy) so would rather be in bed or enjoying the sunshine.

Rest assured that there's a pretty good amount of things to catch up on, but things are so satisfying when they're done in chronological order, so, and because I wanted to do a quick little post, I thought I'd share my Glastonbury Instax photos first.

I know I say this whenever I share photos from this camera with you, but I really love it and it's probably one of my favourite cameras that I own. As well as taking great photos - pretty superior to any Polaroids I've ever had, not to mention cheaper - I also feel like I total bigshot when I carry it around because people seem to be so intrigued by it, the amount of enquiries I got about it at Glastonbury were pretty fun. I feel like I should know more about it other than it being generally hard to find - really not bad for something left behind by one of my Mum's employees.

Just happy to be there.

Kind of Mumford & Sons.

Campfire.

I'm so pleased with these photos, given the phenomenal cock-up with my 35mm photos from Glastonbury, I'm glad I have these physical images worth keeping - again, a Glasto 2013 album is something I hope will materialise soon, although I've yet to finish my Turkey one and that's over a year ago now (omg, sadface!).

Film photographs, of almost any kind always make me want to take more as soon as I can, but then I lose steam and half a roll sits in my camera for another half a year - that's something I would really like to change. I'm so pleased that my blog gives me an outlet and a place to put all my photos because even though I'm not always printing off and making albums like I wish I had the time to do, I've still got something to look back on.
Cheesy bloggush over, what do you think of film photography, do you prefer to convenience of digital?

Making it stretch.

Pay-day can't come soon enough this month, less than a week to go! There's a lot to pay for, once my rent's out that doesn't leave much left, I also have to pay my gas and electric and I'm trying to save for a new camera. However, I'm going to need to make this stretch with August being a big birthday month and I'm hoping to start up driving next week (*eep!).
I hate to bore you with another wish-list post but I've been so busy with work and needing sleep that I just haven't really had time to do anything particularly interesting to share with you.

Dermalogica Clean Start Kit, £20.99 (via Beauty Flash)
This is one of the big things I'll be investing in this month. I've since cancelled my Glossybox subscription due to their lack of actually meeting my 'beauty profile' and because I've seen better boxes for the same or less money. However, this kit is one of the best things I've used to come out of subscribing to Glossybox. I'm yet to sign up to another beauty box and I'm not sure if I will for a while. Anyway, I'm in love with this kit, it's so refreshing and I've found it leaving my skin very clear with no residue. The mattifying moisturiser with SPF is an added bonus and definitely my favourite face moisturiser I've ever used. At the price being offered by Beauty Flash, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

Death at Seaworld: Shamu and the Dark Side of Killer Whales in Captivity, £15.55, Amazon
I'm a massive fan of Seaworld and I'm really looking forward to going there in December, so I'm not sure how good an idea it would be to read this but I'm really intrigued by the case and the ethics surrounding the treatment of such intelligent mammals as killer whales and dolphins. The Cove is one of my all-time favourite documentaries and it really hit a nerve. I'm not ready to become an activist and start preaching to you just yet but it's a subject I like to keep informed about.

A Visit to Charleston House for Rob Ryan's Exhibition ♥
(Possibly coinciding with a daytrip to Brighton if the weather stays nice.)

Mumford & Sons' Babel (Deluxe Version) w/ Screenprint [x]
I'm really excited for this so this is my other big spend for the month, I really hope the poster is worth the extra £20, although I may suggest going halves with Mr. Moon as he's much bigger on CDs.

ASOS MILAN Leather Laser Cut Lace Up Shoes, £15, ASOS
I know I mentioned these in yesterday's Tuesday Tabs but I'm really after a pair as my sister is visiting and flaunting her pair in my face. I seriously need to re-assess my shoe situation though, as well as my nail polish situation - sadly they've been left seriously neglected since I've been working all the time, I'm making a promise to myself to paint my nails tonight.

Fujifilm Instax Wide Film, this seller on eBay
Definitely need to get my hands on some instant film to give my new Fujifilm Instax camera it's first trial run, as well as keep up with my first Instax camera, they're the most awesome cameras, I hope the newest one works.

My rota has just come through and I've found out I get the whole of Sunday off, I'm so excited, I hope to have as nice a Sunday as I did last week, definitely calls for more precisely planned carbooting.

Fine day.

I had the nicest Sunday yesterday, filled with carbooting and taking in 'local culture', not to mention catching some sun. So much sun in fact, that Moon and I both ended up with a bit of sunburn, pretty shocking really considering we managed to evade it the whole time we were away. It was really good to spend some time together as we've been a bit ratty all week and I've been working evenings so we've hardly really seen each other.

We started off the day with a trip to Newbury Racecourse carboot, the last few times we've visited it's been shocking but this time it was overflowing with knick-nacks. I only picked up a book at a few DVDs, but for once it was actually worth the £1 entry fee, plus I mainly go to look at all the weird things people are trying to sell.

Moon was pleased that we finally found a copy of 'Armageddon' as I've yet to see it, here's hoping it works and isn't a dud.

We spotted this beast as we were leaving the racecourse, there's a lot going on with it to say the least.

I'm trying to get back into reading in a big way, although I'm not that far into '50 Shades of Grey' yet (I don't think I'm too interested in the others at the moment), I don't want to end up being stuck with nothing to read by the time I've finished it, so I'm planning ahead. I've already read this but so long ago that I think it deserves a re-read, I hope they show the stage adaptation at Vue.

Lunch was a bacon, egg and mushroom sandwich, so nomz! ♥

I spotted an ad for a carboot we'd seen advertised a few weeks ago but never investigated, as it was open until half 4, we decided to head over to Taplow and check it out. In hindsight, we definitely should get there earlier in future, even though we arrived with a few hours to spare, there were a lot of people packing up.

Apparently, driving barefoot is easier than driving in flip-flops.

Although there was a lot of furniture, no one had just the thing I'm currently looking for...

Sunglasses: Boots
Dress: Primark
Belt: (with a skirt) New Look
Bag: Alphabet Bags
Leggings: H&M
Flipflops: Fitflop

On our way back from Taplow Carboot, we stopped by the Newbury Waterways Festival. I was in my element and felt nostalgic for Malden Fortnight. The event was held on the Kennet & Avon canal as well as in adjacent Victoria Park. I've never seen so much homemade chutney and jam in one place, I'm also pleased to say I saw my first duck race too.

Who knew that this was a thing? Apparently it is though and it was kind of fun to hear and see the crowds get so into it.

I know this last one doesn't fit in with the others but this was my only carboot find at Taplow, for £3, I'm excited to use it as it takes the same film as my other Fujifilm polaroid and it looks just as odd.

I think things like this are exactly what Sundays were made for. Today has been all about a bit of interview-prep and doing chores.
