Photo An Hour 3/12: March

[via Designspiration]

I'm definitely making a real promise to myself to not pick a Sunday to do next month's Photo An Hour. I feel like this month's is particularly lazy, and I pretty much picked the laziest day I've had all month to do it. I did try the Saturday before but I got distracted, I still enjoyed doing it but it was a little more effort to take photos of my sleepy day.

11am – Sundays definitely warrant sleeping in, at least a little.

12pm – A spot of cat-bothering.

1pm – Almost lunch, but far too breakfasty.

2pm – Popping out for our first local swim, and picking up a weird combination of things we needed from Sainbury's on the way.

3pm – Overall I wasn't very impressed with this leisure centre, it was a little grimey, I'm on the hunt for somewhere nicer as it was pretty refreshing to go swimming.

4pm – Popping everything in the wash as soon as we got home, including me!

5pm – Chopping up fun vegetables and catching a film that one of Moon's work colleagues lent him, it wasn't terrible but it was so far from good.

6pm – Lovely Sunday roast of what turned out to be pulled pork, amazing.

7pm – Totally in love with Nashville.

8pm – Making a considered effort to catch up with blogging.

9pm – Catching up on In the Flesh, I've really enjoyed it, such a good twist on the zombie genre, and so very bleak, I wish it was a little more out there though.

10pm – Cosying up for part 2 of In the Flesh.

11pm – Already back in bed ready for another Monday and fully creeping myself out with my current read.

So yes, I think there should be less Sundays in this challenge from now on, not that my weekdays are much more riveting but at least I spend less time preparing and eating food.

Photo An Hour 1/12: January.

20/01/2013

I guess picking a snowy Sunday where not much is able to happen was a silly choice for a Photo An Hour, but I do so enjoy quiet things anyway. So if you hadn't got the newsletter, it snowed. It's pretty, it's even snowing more now, but it's annoying, I like wrapping up for winter but I sure am looking for spring, I miss flowers.

10am:
(That's a little white lie, these days any time after half 10 is disgustingly late so the fact I tumbled out of bed at 10:45 is neither here nor there)
It was snowing again, after having a day off on Saturday and having 5 inches fall on Friday but it was super fine so not much happened.

11am:
I'm not sure Doll knows what to make of the snow at all, but her love of outdoors has kind of made her get over it.
It is quite fun throwing snowballs for her.

12pm:
Brunch, a lovely Sunday treat.

1pm:
See what I mean about Doll being a bit of a sweetheart?

2pm:
We were a little optimistic about whether the snow would melt so it meant we had to pop out for milk.

3pm:
Finally sorting through my Florida photos on Facebook, only to be thwarted by their awful uploader.
Am I the only one who gets a little sad when things aren't in order?

4pm:
Two treats from Sainsbury's - a chocolate chip cookie and lemonade

5pm:
In the mood for baking bread.

6pm:
The finished result, a bit different from my last attempt but just as tasty!

7pm:
Oxtail stew, my new all time favourite food that Moon cooks - doesn't looks even nearly as tasty as it is but it's the perfect winter warmer.

8pm:
Settling down to watch Catfish: The TV Show, I need MORE!

9pm:
This is about as messy as our little flat gets, all that tasty food was worth it though.

10pm:
Tasty tea and more TV.

11pm:
Moon fulfilling his role as official Monday lunch maker.

I sure am looking forward to doing this little challenge I've set myself, I think this definitely reflects how sleepy my January has been so far.

Photo An Hour: 31/08

Why not? I know I'm a little late. It's been a mental week, I can't believe that it's September now, what a crazy six months it's been. Moving out, getting my first paid job (albeit minimum wage), quitting that job and getting a real proper job with prospects, something I've been wanting more than anything for over a year. I guess I won't have much to complain about anymore.

7am Missing my train to work by seconds and finding out I can get one half an hour later each morning was a pretty good way to start the end of the working week.
I've since found that the later train is horrible.

8am On the bus, one of my favourite parts of my commute / Where I work is actually lovely, especially as it's decided to be sunny lately, it's easy to forget that it's a business park.

9am: My newly set up swanky Samsung monitors.

10am: Working through the to-do list I set myself.

11am: Appropriate 'Elevenses'

12pm: Desk organisation.

1pm: Soundtrack for the day / Changing my mind about juice in cans.

2pm: Vue shoes at my new job.

3pm: What I spent most of the day working on.

4pm: Being able to use these in a practical way is the best.

5pm: Sorting out what to do next / Home time.

6pm: Catching the delayed but luxurious train home. One day I hope to finish an episode of The US Office.

7pm: Spaghetti and meatballs for tea.

This isn't 'within' the 'Photo an Hour' timeline, but I figured I'd share this with you anyway. #catlady
