Saturday Snelsmore Snaps.

I was going to say it's nice that the weather settled down but it hasn't really, that said, it's warm enough to go for walks after work and to get out in the garden in the evenings and play catch. It was warm last weekend though and even though it clouded over, we made the most of it and headed up to Snelsmore Common for a less swampy walk than our last visit.

We didn't get to see any ponies like we have done before but it was nice to walk around chatting, deciding which routes to take and talking 'big future things' without the distraction of the TV or our phones. Moon actually might love it up there and insisted we walk up there again the next day with some old (new) Newbury friends, they did help us find a new route from Donnington Castle though so I'm not complaining.

We've been obsessed by 'wild' pine cones since seeing huge one for £20 in shop when were in Bath at Christmas. I mean really, how ludicrous, they're free everywhere. Our favourite game is 'how much do you reckon this one's worth?', the amount we've even seen in other shops is getting a bit silly too!

50p of pine cone.

You might have guessed it by now but I'm quite liking a bit of this landscape stuff at the moment, not sure why, I think it's the changing of the seasons and being able to enjoy being outside again.

Half-day.

It's been weird weather lately but with the sun shining I'm in a really good mood and am really looking forward to relaxing this weekend. Last week I took a cheeky half-day to get over to Dorking to see Jimmy Carr on Friday evening. I figured it was better to make the most of seeing my sister while she rounded up her Easter holidays as I hadn't seen her much.

After a tasty lunch at a (weirdly) completely deserted ASK, we walked it off with a quick walk around beautiful Boxhill, and we certainly picked the perfect day for it. It's hard to believe that it was chucking it down with rain the following morning.

While it might not have been the most exciting place to grow up, it is nice to visit Dorking every once in a while.

Pier of the Year.

For the second part of our West Country adventure, we went to visit our friend Simon in his hometown of Clevedon, a pretty little town about half an hour outside of Bristol. It's just a pity that the weather wasn't on our side because we didn't even get to go on the famed 'Pier of the Year'. Simon did take us on a nice coastal walk along Poet's Walk after having lunch though so it was a really lovely afternoon.

I'm a little jealous of the pretty Clevedon Pier photos I spotted on Flickr after our visit, but I think this one's not too bad considering I papped it through the barred entrance (because Moon's a little bit of a cheapskate).

There were so many excitable wet dogs running up and down, I liked this one best.

Isn't it great to finally see some flowers blossoming? I wonder if it's alright to plant out my seeds yet.

Can you tell I just love a good Sunday walk, apparently I like to fit one in wherever I am.

Don't tell anyone this, but I might actually have started to enjoy driving, it's so good to go places on my terms whenever I want, even if some other drivers are terrifying I'm getting over it. I'm so proud of myself for driving during our whole trip and all the way home. Even with a boyfriend who is the worst back seat (passenger seat) driver, it's really not so bad.
