Nailing it.

I've been crazy indecisive about my nails this week, but they are actually a decent length at the moment, although I'm still struggling to understand how people have them much longer than this.

What I Wore.

I think the next thing to work on will be my facial expressions. This week I took a photo of what I wore everyday, not because I had particularly thought about sharing it with you, but because I really was quite bored and becoming increasingly concerned that I would have nothing to say by this point. The latter hasn't ended up being the case, but I thought I share this set with you anyway.

Apparently I was in the mood for trousers this week, despite hardly wearing any since starting Uni, I don't know, I think I'm used to it now though.
Those Bench jeans were a big surprise and are actually around 3 years old, but I bought them even though they were too small and have never worn them in public since trying them on when I got home. I figured that because they were good jeans I'd keep them and when I dug out my winter wardrobe out last weekend I found them and decided I may as well try them on, I was so pleased when they fit! I've since accidentally left them at Moon's house but with the way the weather is now swinging, maybe I won't need them again for a few weeks.

This is something that I may think about doing again, it was nice to get some use out of my tripod at least, as well as taking photos to more of a schedule. I kind of miss having projects to do now that Uni is officially over.

Facebook - Timeline.

Before I get underway with the mammoth load of planned posts that I have, I thought I'd share my excitement over the forthcoming F8 from Facebook. Because I'm such a nerd, I've already pushed forward my chance to use it and switched to using Timeline. After being so annoyed with the New Facebook that they updated with last week - although I've since got over it and normality has resumed - I think all can be forgiven when the sheer awesomeness of Timeline is taken into account, even 'Lists' (which I still don't use and have since deleted, but I'm sure it will come in useful at some time, probably).

So yeah, because I've been away for the weekend and haven't really wanted to/had the time to blog, I thought I'd share both a screen-cap of my current Facebook profile because it pleases me. And tell you to get on it, because it's fun to know what you were doing in 2007, I don't know how but they've actually added to amount you can procrastinate on Facebook and given my current situation, I think it's brilliant.

It's pretty easy to do if you have instructions, so follow this link and you can start embracing Timeline as the future of your social networking, Google what?

Selling myself.

I've definitely been suffering this week with a serious case of a 'can't get a job, won't ever have a job' blues. So after perking up a bit after my driving lesson, as well as on the suggestion of Moon, I made this flyer.

I'm the first to admit that my graphic design skills are second to quite a few people's but I don't think that I've done a half-bad job on this. There was further suggestion, when I posted it on Twitter earlier, that I should add an image to the flyer, I guess because it would sell what I'm offering more. However, I believe that currently it's fine the way it is, I think the design is solid enough to catch people's attention, but that's just my big head. Further criticism is encouraged if you feel that it's needed.

Things aren't looking as down as they were at the beginning of the week though, having been in touch with a few promising leads this morning and with a telephone interview (I hope) to look forward to later this afternoon. I have also really made headway in scrap-booking again which will definitely help towards keeping me creative and stopping my brain from turning into mush, I'll maybe do a post about that in the next few days.

Hola.

I feel like I've been too busy so I haven't really had time to post anything post-Dry the River/Exeter. I spent most of Friday travelling down to Exeter for the university preview day yesterday and (shock-horror), I didn't bring my computer so I haven't been able to do much/also maybe missed out on a cool conference job.

So, Thursday night Moon came over and we had Chinese food and watched 'Billy Connolly's Route 66' before heading out to New Slang to watch the end of Worship and see Dry the River. The sound wasn't perfect at the Hippodrome but it was nonetheless an enjoyable gig, Peter Liddle's voice is so powerful and beautiful, I didn't even care that I barely knew half of the songs. I think I would like to go to New Slang more too.

I even bought a t-shirt, and Moon shook the bassist's hand! It was awkward and filled with fanboyism, but it was nice. I went for the horse one because I had to. They are actually very nice t-shirts and are very soft, plus I'll have a feeling of dickhead superiority until they break the big time.

16/09/2011:
Blazer: eBay
T-shirt: Dry the River
Skirt: H&M
Leggings: Primark

Because I woke up late, basically the first thing I did the following day was head off to Exeter. I've been to Exeter a couple of times when I've been visiting Moon's Gran in Sidmouth and I quite like it, but because my sister is a genius, she'll probably have the privilege of going to the University there.

It's so nice it made me want to be sick, there are waterfalls and it's full of greenery and the halls are so modern, everything will probably be even better when they finish whatever building work they're carrying out at the moment. It was a full-on open day with lots of friendly students ready and willing to help out with questions about courses and the University in general. I don't even plan on returning to University ever and I was even falling in love with the place. We were supposed to go up to Warwick (because as I said my sister is a genius) next weekend but we're going to put it off while my sister get's over how smitten she is with Exeter.

Next week is looking far more empty that the previous two, with only a driving lesson and telephone interview to really look forward to, and a 'proper' job centre consultation... woo..
