What I Wore.

I think the next thing to work on will be my facial expressions. This week I took a photo of what I wore everyday, not because I had particularly thought about sharing it with you, but because I really was quite bored and becoming increasingly concerned that I would have nothing to say by this point. The latter hasn't ended up being the case, but I thought I share this set with you anyway.

Apparently I was in the mood for trousers this week, despite hardly wearing any since starting Uni, I don't know, I think I'm used to it now though.
Those Bench jeans were a big surprise and are actually around 3 years old, but I bought them even though they were too small and have never worn them in public since trying them on when I got home. I figured that because they were good jeans I'd keep them and when I dug out my winter wardrobe out last weekend I found them and decided I may as well try them on, I was so pleased when they fit! I've since accidentally left them at Moon's house but with the way the weather is now swinging, maybe I won't need them again for a few weeks.

This is something that I may think about doing again, it was nice to get some use out of my tripod at least, as well as taking photos to more of a schedule. I kind of miss having projects to do now that Uni is officially over.

Oops.

I really was trying to not buy anything when I went into Kingston today, I really was. I got really nervous about this interview I have tomorrow (yes, another one, I feel like I have everything coming out of my ears), I suddenly didn't have any smart shoes for some reason... so naturally I bought two pairs. I only went to get my graduation photographs printed, in regard to Jessops, their photo-printing services have gone downhill, was very annoyed with the touchscreen.

This is what I wore to the interview I had this morning; I think it went quite well and I'm feeling quite optimistic, but the job-hunt continues anyway.

Cardigan: H&M
T-Shirt: H&M
Belt: eBay
Skirt: Dorothy Perkins
Leggings: New Look
Shoes: TOMS

So here are the fancy shoes that I picked up; the pink ones are from H&M and the brown ones are from New Look:

I've been searching for a pair like these for ages, and the fact that they were half-price was nice. I really promise I will stop spending though, the UK is a rip-off and I'm going to Hong Kong on Monday, thus, I am an idiot.

I also got this cute t-shirt from Uniqlo, which I enjoy because it has polar bears on it. I definitely prefer Uniqlo in Hong Kong, although this was only £4.99.

I'm very excited for Hong Kong, particularly after today has already proven to be so hectic and I have to go out again for the Malden Fortnight presentation evening. I'm looking forward to falling off the radar a bit, but we're staying in one of my cousin's houses so I'm sadly kind of keeping my fingers crossed that there will be Wi-Fi. A 'jobseeker' like me can't exactly afford to go completely without communication, particularly due to how cool the company I have an interview with tomorrow is... eep! I'm far too over-excited.

Text Me.

So, I've had quite a nice amount of praise for my work today, I'm very happy. I had a mini-breakdown and started to feel like I wasn't good enough, so the crit today really helped. I got some nice compliments on how the text to go with my images was written. Here are the Indesign layouts for the text panels, after I was told to tweak their style slightly. They'll probably get another makeover before the hand-in, I'm still a bit torn over the font size of the 'name' text.

If I can pull of the research for this, I might actually get a good mark. I hope I don't end up offending any of my subjects with their text, I mean it's paraphrased but I think I've stuck to what I talked about with them. It took me about a year to print of the text properly, but I think I've finally figured out why, but my printer and I did have a major falling out.

Fellow Maccabees fans should watch this http://www.channel4.com/programmes/on-track-with-seat/4od#3144521. It's delightful and there's been so little of The Maccabees for such a while, I've missed them so much. I've spent most of tonight listening to all their songs. LOVELY LOVELY!

I missed another day of my 365 yesterday, so that's that challenge well and truly failed, I'm kind of getting sick of it to tell you the truth but there are only just over 3 weeks left to go so I'm not really sure what to do. I think it has served it's purpose and I am taking more photographs but I think it's had it's day and I'm going to call it quits. I've lasted a hell of a lot longer than others that I've seen. I'll upload the backlog and then I think that will be it — plus a closing statement obviously.

Even though it is really chilly, I quite like this weather, I like walking around in the morning and feeling ice crunch under my feet.

In further Ruth-related news, I have booked another trip to Paris for January, only it will be with my sister, we'll only be staying in and around Disneyland and it's just for the weekend. I booked it, but it's a Christmas present from our mum really, which means it's probably the best present I've ever had. I've also signed up to go to New York with my course in March. Apparently, this school year is a time to man up and go places. I am a bit sad because I'd hoped my first trip to New York would be romantic and with Moon, but at least this way I can scout out the best places and we can be really organised when we eventually get around to going together.
The sunset this afternoon was beautiful.

Green.

I was going to do something with this but I haven't decided yet, so it can go here for the moment. I took it because my hair looked a bit weird. That's basically as far as got when it came to thinking about it. I'll probably come back to it when I haven't got work coming out of my ears. I took it with my new tripod, it's not doing a bad job for £11.97 from Asda.
