Tuesday Tabs #36

I feel like this week's going to be a good one but I'm super sleepy already and it's only Tuesday! I'm starting to feel more and more festive as the real countdown for Christmas draws in, how about you? I'm really looking forward to payday weekend already, with the promise of a trip to Ikea for decorations, I'm excited.

Here are some of my favourite finds from the last couple of weeks .

["Hunters: Charks an' Kittehs" by Kozyndan]
When we were in Brighton at the weekend we saw this print in real life in Art Republic, at £62 a month thanks to the Own Art scheme, I must admit I was really tempted, it was just so huge. Isn't it the best though, that beautiful oriental print and cats, perfect. Kozyndan consist of husband and wife team Kozy and Dan (geddit?), actually before seeing this print and looking it up later I actually saw I'd seen some of their other work before and love it then too. I really like their style and if I had a whole spare wall I'd make this mine.

The video for Mumford & Sons new single, 'Lover of the Light' is beautifully shot. It's always kind of satisfying to see the video for a song you've been hearing for a long time. I remember how great this sounded when I heard it at my first Glastonbury, and I can't wait to hear it again when I see them in Portsmouth on Thursday.

[Urban Outfitters]
A new throw is something I'd really like soon as the current one is a little worse for wear. We're thinking of getting a new sofa in the new year hopefully one that won't really need a throw though so I'm umming and ahhing over how much I really like this one, but those bicycles sure are cute.

[Gemma Correll]
Gemma Correll perfectly summing up how I feel most mornings at the moment.

[Shanalogic]
I like these because my cat hates coasters and I love meme cats.

[Ligamentum]
I love these rustic wooden napkin rings, I wouldn't allow myself these until we had a nice dining table though (and napkins, obviously).

[Gracey May]

[Pretty Dreamer]

[Rob Ryan]
I think Rob Ryan should just do everything, there I said it.

[River Island]
I want to wear more clothes made out of fabric like this.

  • Tumbleweed Houses — I was sent the website for these neat tiny houses by lovely reader, Laura, aren't they cute? I think I'd definitely prefer a smaller home to a larger one.
  • Kaylah's Brooch Collection — I love Kaylah from The Dainty Squid's posts about her collections and they really make me wish I had a hobby. Her photos of her brooches definitely made me a little envious, she has as many adorable brooches as she does dresses.
  • Stickygram — I had plans to talk about my Stickygrams in a proper blog post at the weekend but it's so easy to run out of daylight for decent photos that I'm going to hold it off for a bit. I think you should still see them though, they're so neat, basically you connect your Instagram account and for just $14.99 - and super-speedy delivery - you can have a set of 9 of your photos on adorable square magnets, a must have and a great stocking filler idea.
  • For Luna — The prettiest retro swimwear.
  • Felt Christmas Ornaments — Really simple but effective Christmas decoration DIY, I'm so tempted to make a huge one.
  • Cookies & Cream Marshmallow Bars — These are really high up on my must-make list. Making anything with Oreos is always so easy and tasty.

    Tuesday Tabs #16

I've been quite anxious today, generally I feel anxious all the time anyway but today it has been particularly noticeable. Despite the tree-stealing builder's amazing ability to break both my Internet and phone line for most of today, I have made a lot of progress in my job hunt. I have some Visual Merchandising work lined up for next week, and an interview tomorrow. I am incredibly annoyed at today's first rejection though, down to not driving, again despite having 'the perfect CV', why even say that? I', trying so hard to not seem embittered, but sometimes recruitment agents can be jerks. Funnily enough both the roles I've just mentioned are off my own steam, despite my signing up with more recruitment agencies than I have fingers.

I'm still feeling pretty chilled out thanks to the bank holiday weekend. I also feel great about how much awesome food I've eaten in the last few days, but like I said, I'm also a bit nervous about my life in general too. Anyway, it's time for a de-clutter and I'm bored of this kind of chit-chat.

Your Eyes Lie All Cat T-shirt, £30, ASOS
Apologies in advance for the man t-shirt love this week, but why are they getting all the nice things? I know for a fact that Moon would never wear either of the items of clothing I've shown here, and they're far better suited to me. Damn you clothes fast, and damn you cool man clothes. This t-shirt is a bit pricey for what it is but I'm hoping it comes up when ASOS has one of their amazing sales/when my clothes fast can finally be over.

With How I Met Your Mother being one of my favourite shows, I was really surpriesed to see Cobie Smulders step up to the plate in The Avengers when I saw it last week (how good is it?! srsly!), needless to say, afterwards, Tumblr was pretty great at providing the in-joke lulz.

Blue Car Print Shirt, £25, River Island
Reminds me of the Prada-inspired Primark skirt I was lusting after a few weeks ago, I think this is pretty purse-friendly of River Island too.

    All Joy
    Buddha Butter Dish, £12
    Mr Food Face, £12
    Glass Bird-print Hood, £7
I can't believe what an affordable goldmine Joy is, so many pretty things. ♥

Staffordshire Dog Brooch Set, $35, Gemma Correll for Made By White

    Link Love:
  • Yowayowa Camera Woman Diary — It's not been updated in a while but I love this adorable online diary of Japanese lady, Natsumi Hayashi. So many photos of her levitating, such a simple, consistant theme that it really works.
  • Food Colouring Icing Chart — Amazing chart showing how to make a huge range of beautiful colours for your icing using just yellow, red, blue and green.
  • Colour-blind test nail art — I wish I had both the range of colours and patience to do this. It's beautiful, and a scary reminder that I should think about getting my eyes tested...

  • Definitely felt like there was more going on this week than usual, but I guess I was wrong.

    I love post.

Internet shopping is the best because when everything comes it's like getting presents.

I was kind of hoping that all of these items would be bad because I was having some serious buyer's remorse before they arrived. Sadly, for my bank account I love all of these. The River Island camera bag is looking set to be great and will come in very useful as it's sturdy and deceptively big.

I also picked up these boots, I'm nervous to wear them because I don't really own anything like these.

This t-shirt is from illustrator Jenni Sparks. I came across her blog/shop when one of my friends on Facebook posted her 'Things Hipster's Love' print, which is also lovely. Given my 'new found fame' (jk) I figured it was important that I picked up this tee from her Etsy store. I think you should check her out, she has lots of other nice things.
