1 and a bit.

Uni is starting again, I am so excited.
Highlight of most days this week was Pointless, which isn't even on until 4:30. Haha. Oh well, at least I will be able to ge tdown to it more, I'm feeling quite motivated.

The Printspace sent me my prints for my summer project, I was going to get them mounted but I didn't read that it would have taken ages so, I had to speak to them to get it cancelled and am now doing it myself. Which I guess makes it a lot cheaper anyway.
These are the images I'm using, I'm going to talk about Catcher in the Rye and how museums always stay the same which relates to dates and how they are always changing etc. I'm also going to talk about how I felt that day and how busy it was blahblahblah. Just need to conjour up some photographers to relate it to the practice and I'm ready... and mount them ofcourse, but at least they arrived today and that gives me some time.

I ordered the paper pack from Printspace too, it's so nice, I love paper and now I can pick whatever one I like for next done, the printed images looks so nice on the one I chose for this project but there are some even nicer ones ♥

I've finally got round to scanning everything in...
Here a few, the rest will be on my Facebook. Take a gander.

I love this one ♥

I made this a couple of days ago, it is an aubergine, courgette and tomato bake, it's never going to be as nice as the one I had coming home from France on the ferry. I don't think I'll make it again. Plus as nice as this photograph looks, it wasn't as nice as I wanted it to be anyway :(

Did the Derren Brown thing last night..

It was a bit of toss wasn't it?

I love my new house.
I feel pretty awesome about life right now.
Plus Lovefilm have finally sent a film that I actually want to see...and Love Albert Road Day is tomorrow.

Number Eighty.

I tried to make some sort of set but it didn't work out as well as I thought.
I keep swinging from have too much to not having enough - I was using selective in that sentence previously but I couldn't think of the derivative to it, so you got that informal wording instead.

Anyway, I think some of them work better with each other than other but there's not much point of posting different images in different posts when these are all from the same day. I was a lovely day, I hope that because we had such a nice time, I'll be able to go there again before Summer's over, although to say my funds are drying up would be an understatement.

We visited the Saatchi Gallery, it was much nicer than other galleries I've been to, as someone who is interested in the creative industry, I am one of the few I am aware of that kind of dislikes galleries. I'll only go to one if I know that someone I'm interested in will have work there, otherwise I don't care. That's quite crap of me but I'm getting better.
I've also taken a few documentary style ones, that I reckon could be suitable for another competition that I'm thinking of entering. I might enter a different one of the Chaplin street performer, he was pretty funny, we stood watching him for quite a while.
The strawberry one is one of my favourite images I've ever taken..

The Saatchi Gallery.

Covent Garden.

Southbank.

Lovely.

I found out yesterday that the Summer Project doesn't require an RDB, I feel a bit put out by this as nothing was mentioned about it before, but oh well, it eases the workload and means I can work less restrictively, even though I felt like my research was going really well.
I've just seen that I rubbish girl on the course thought she'd failed but then discovered she hadn't. WHY didn't she?!

Bit of a slacker.

I'm pretty damn sick of having no access to a printer or scanner.
I want to put some new work up.
Probably coming on Sunday or Monday.

I'm going to a party tomorrow, which will hopefully be better than the supposed one on Tuesday, just made me feel weirded out and sad. Feels like I'm following a lost cause...

The film I got developed today was pretty poor, I also think I'm going to stick to 6x4 for processed prints from now on, Boots are pretty sloppy with their 5x7 quality. Plus it's unnecessarily more expensive. I would use Jessops, if Dorking had ANYTHING! Overall though what I'd taken anyway wasn't too good. Some was weird, you'll see.

Moon is taking me to London next week, it's also Ben & Jerry's Fest next Sunday. I hope next week will be a lot more interesting than this lonesome week. I just seem to have accumulated a ton of food.. that I will probably end up not eating.

I've baked a tasty cake though, which should be up when I update.
Definitely will feel less lazy when I don't have to talk about doing things anymore.
No one's interested.

Summer project is underway. Started talking about David Blaine, who is an idiot.
Don't know what I'm basing it on yet but won't be able to start the actual work until 07.08.09 anyway, I guess...

There will be backlog.

Everything will probably be going up at once on Saturday/Sunday as I'll be able to use my own laptop at Moons, or at least a faster computer..
Don't think that I have too many worthy photographs for here, but ofcourse they'll be up on Facebook for anyone who does want to take a look.

Overall, disregarding the weather and coming home early, Guilfest was pretty good. However, adding the weather into the mix, it was definitely not even close to being as good as the previous two, and I was genuinely relieved to be home, not like other times when I've been glad to not be sleeping in a tent but sad about leaving the festival mentality for another year. Sadly, the sun is what brings that on and apart from a few measly hours on Friday, that was distinctly lacking. Then on Saturday everything was went and cold, which isn't good most of the time, but definitely not when sleeping outdoors.

I'm off to a barbecue tomorrow, should be good but I'm a bit nervous, although hopefully there won't be too many people there that I don't know, which I guess is what I'm most nervous about. I don't have my boyfriend to hide behind if the worst does happen.

I have threeish films to be developed, but I don't want to add even more to the work load. :(

I got give a summer project for uni today via email.
As much as I dislike "Summer Project" in the subject line of an email, I'm actually quite looking forward to doing it, and it will be a good thing to add to here.
The theme is 7th August 2009. Conveniently this is when I'm off to see Walking with Dinosaurs. But I'm not sure what my final outcome will be yet. Still, it will be good to get some focused work done, not just for here but to add to my portfolio. I mean at the moment what I'm doing is how I intend to keep things so it's good to be proactive about it.

And finally, I pose this question, why are some people so unashamed of things? I must say, as much as I don't approve, I do admire her confidence, maybe I'll brave a bikini in France. Well, probably not..
