So that's what that is...

Just been recommended this by Lovefilm - yes I'm still subscribed to it despite wanting to cancel for months now - but this looks pretty interesting, I'd heard of it, but by the looks of it, this isn't what I thought it was.. I think I was too stuck with Harold and Madge from Neighbours, don't think they're even on it anymore.

Also, fans of patterned backgrounds should go to Pattern Cooler if you're looking to spruce up your Twitter, blog or Myspace (iknowrite?)

Everything is going swimmingly.

The meeting with everyone went great today, we have decided on our final invitation designs to send off to the printers, we just need to get information about the sponsors and the guest speakers - so we just need to sit and wait, and get the mailing list sorted. Easy.

I have my proposal to finish off this evening, it's sounding pretty good at the moment. I quite like being a good writer.

I've been to the gym - so I'm feeling less fat & pumped.

And the icing on the cake, my next Lovefilms are actually good ones. The Wrestler, Valkyrie and Slave. At least, I hope they're good, they've all been on my list for ages.

Just thought I'd post because I am so happy, not because I have any actual work.
Also, I re-watched Calvin Harris' Jedward stage invasion - brilliance.

Hubert.

Best In Show has made it to my list of favourite films, it's so good. I'm going to watch it once more before sending it back to Lovefilm.

I watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off again tonight as well. <3

Had enough of panoramics.

..But have become obsessed with the bed.
I've photographed it about 4 times today.
This project, with or without research is going to kick ass... why am I so enthused about a piece of rubbish?
I don't really like modern art, I guess because it's pretty easy and related to the idea of space - otherwise I wouldn't notice/care.

Maybe I should fork out for a fish-eye lens, a proper one. I haven't even got the right lens for the attachment I bought anymore. Anyone want to buy an attachment?

I have no time now and the time I do have, I spend sleeping. When I have finished doing my RDB, I will update the blog with proper work and not ugly 'shot on compact digital' panoramics, urgh.

Didn't watch Couple's Retreat in the end as Lovefilm sent me Spinal Tap and Little Ashes. Wish I'd used up the Orange Wednesday to be honest..
Spinal Tap is awful, I even see the influence it's had on The Office and I still hate it. Literally the only funny parts are the ones included in the clip shows that talk about how funny it is. I really, really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't.

I hope Little Ashes has a bit more to offer, although ofcourse I realise they're two completely different types of film.

Did have nachos though, at HaHa, wasn't as good as the one in Brighton, why is Portsmouth so lame?

I'm going to London again tomorrow, this time to see Bowling for Soup. Might head there early to get to The White Chapel gallery to sneak a peak at their Sophie Calle exhibition, I think it's kind of a retrospective, at least they're showing her work from the 1980s to present, should be interesting.

1 and a bit.

Uni is starting again, I am so excited.
Highlight of most days this week was Pointless, which isn't even on until 4:30. Haha. Oh well, at least I will be able to ge tdown to it more, I'm feeling quite motivated.

The Printspace sent me my prints for my summer project, I was going to get them mounted but I didn't read that it would have taken ages so, I had to speak to them to get it cancelled and am now doing it myself. Which I guess makes it a lot cheaper anyway.
These are the images I'm using, I'm going to talk about Catcher in the Rye and how museums always stay the same which relates to dates and how they are always changing etc. I'm also going to talk about how I felt that day and how busy it was blahblahblah. Just need to conjour up some photographers to relate it to the practice and I'm ready... and mount them ofcourse, but at least they arrived today and that gives me some time.

I ordered the paper pack from Printspace too, it's so nice, I love paper and now I can pick whatever one I like for next done, the printed images looks so nice on the one I chose for this project but there are some even nicer ones ♥

I've finally got round to scanning everything in...
Here a few, the rest will be on my Facebook. Take a gander.

I love this one ♥

I made this a couple of days ago, it is an aubergine, courgette and tomato bake, it's never going to be as nice as the one I had coming home from France on the ferry. I don't think I'll make it again. Plus as nice as this photograph looks, it wasn't as nice as I wanted it to be anyway :(

Did the Derren Brown thing last night..

It was a bit of toss wasn't it?

I love my new house.
I feel pretty awesome about life right now.
Plus Lovefilm have finally sent a film that I actually want to see...and Love Albert Road Day is tomorrow.

No art.

Inglourious Basterds was not my cup of tea, I wrote a Lovefilm review for it. It isn't Tarantino's best work and no one should make the mistake of going into it thinking so.

Mesrine:L'ennemi public No1 was pretty decent though, the second half to quite a good pair. I did enjoy the first half a lot more, but I guess it's probably because Mesrine's increasing delusion makes him a much less likeable character than he is in the first half.

I've been a bit bored these past couple of days, with disappointing Lovefilm after disappointing Lovefilm arriving in the post, I'm finding it harder and harder to keep evenings entertaining. Certain friends round here aren't as fun to hang around with as they once were, what with their 'too young' girlfriends and such.
It's still a while until I plan to get back to Portsmouth, but I don't have any money left, it's annoying.

I bought some lush slippers yesterday, that was a highlight, they're like walking on a cloud.

I think I'm going to try and put some work up soon, I might go back to NM at some point where I have access to a scanner, I got my holiday snaps back, the underwater ones turned out pretty nice.

I'm not even going to give rugby a chance.
I can't believe there are people down in Portsmouth already, it's not even September yet...

I have very mucky feet.

Got home from Ben & Jerry's festival about an hour ago.
Wore flip-flops today, I'd say it was a mistake but it was hot and sunny until about 2 o'clock this afternoon and I left the house at half 10. Made me so cross, I nearly had a little cry on the way back to Clapham Junction.
I've tried washing them but they are still dirty. Ew.

Any time I've tried to do anything fun, it has rained so far and when it's not raining I'm always doing nothing so just end up sitting in the garden being very unexciting.
It best not rain on holiday, that would be rubbish.

Ben & Jerry's was good though, although it was way, way busier than last year, even though it was a bit cold and very wet and last year was the beginning of a heat wave (therefore perfect for a festival with free ice cream). I believe there were too many people with brats there, they should get rid of them.

Had a long DMC with Moon over dinner at my Mums about how shit some of the people we know are and about how even the ones we love are slightly rubbish and lazy. It's infuriating, but one of those things, I just wonder if we'll ever get away from it.

I have two Lovefilms begging to be watched but we've been home too late two nights in a row. Poo. Well, actually, tonight we were home at optimum time but Moon is watching some silly Sean Connery man movie on TV.

Photos from Ben and Jerry's should be up tomorrow as will some examples of my summer RDB.
We saw some badass alpacas today. Animals from Vauxhall Farm have very nice hair.

They say it is going to rain all day tomorrow.

It is quite hot outside, I find this very hard to believe. I also mainly hope it doesn't.

I've written my first review on Lovefilm, I know this isn't a big deal but The Machinist really did annoy me that much. It was so dull. Christian Bale isn't even nice to look at in it.

... that transformation probably is the most interesting part of the film though.

If I didn't have this then I think my Flickr would get more attention but I don't really need Flickr when I have this so it's not so bad really.
I have managed to get my Gran's computer up to a speed where I can use it for this, so that's some kind of improvement, I left my laptop at Moon's anyway.

Moon's mum was talking about buying tickets to Paris for Moon's brother and his girlfriend, it's dumb anyway and no one should really do that. One, Edward's girlfriend is annoying and a whore anyway but mainly two, why is something as extravagant never offered to me? I am a much better addition to their fam and have been around for much longer. It better not happen or I won't talk to either of them again. I'm trying to avoid speaking to the girlfriend anyway. She's a typical overuser of the word "random", if you get what I mean. urgh.

See? No rain clouds.

I wish to be this person. Her work is wicked, she's a friend of Joe's who I met at one of his gigs. She was nice but I ended up finding this somehow way after.
I want my summer project to be along this kind of theme, using both text and images, perhaps with the addition of illustration within the workbook:

July has been such a slow, long month, much more is happening in August.
Jamie T's new EP is out on the 31st.
I have no idea what to do with myself next week. I'm looking forward to Ben & Jerry's this weekend though... :)

Oh yes, for the house, the good tenants got charged £16.20 each for Noorany's damages because he didn't pay the last month's rent. I probably won't see that money again... or the money he owes for the last bills..
