Tuesday Tabs #31

I was contemplating on whether to do this this week. I can't believe it's only Tuesday, I've not been getting much sleep, some of that's my fault, the rest is Doll's; she's been practicing hunting a lot and this morning it was a huge flying insect, not that amusing when I have to get up before 7am anyway.

I'm currently watching 'Great British Bake Off' (one of my faves) and watching Moon bake, he's really caught the bug for someone who out right denied 'GBBO's greatness. Need some toothpicks to keep my eyes open but I'm determined to stick it out and be able to squeeze in an episode of Breaking Bad before bed, I watched the pilot last night and I'm hooked, it's definitely as good as people say so far.

'Rejected' by Jamie Mitchell Illustration at Oh Deer
I've stumbled on a goldmine with this online store, 'Oh Deer' overall and I can wait to have a proper browse when I have the cash to, but how cute is this print? Moon and I have been talking a lot about dogs recently given that I seem to be surrounded by news of newborn puppies at work. It would be silly to get one now as we don't have the time let alone the space, but our recent chatter is one of the main reasons I can't help but smile when I see this.

'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' by Tim Easley at Oh Deer
I'm a huge fan of Ferris Bueller and a huge fan of obscure film references, not that it is if you know the film. This is a definite must-have!

Green Dotty Skinny Jeans, New Look
I really need to get on with buying some new trousers with autumn coming up. I've been after another nice polka dot pair for a while and the colour of these is lovely.

This makes the 'cat lady' part of me so happy.

I'm trying to feel a little more positive about things, I'm also quite aware of how applicable this is to me, especially since I'm such a fan of cat flicks.

This photo is part of a Photography series from Gina Lee Photography inspired by The Little Rascals. It's such a cute series and you can see the rest here.

Retro Ice Lolly Necklaces, Hand Over Your Fairy Cakes
I don't care if summer's nearly over, I need that Twister lolly necklace in my life!

Lion Costume, Bitch Knits
I don't think Doll would stand for this, but it's so fun, I might have to think about it, I'd love to start dressing her up. Bitch Knits have such a fun selection of other items too, even hats!

Link Love:
  • Scathingly Brilliant — This is a 'new to me' blog, and with each post I read it's becoming one of my favourite fashion posts. Kate has made her blog just so girly, it's lovely, and her hair's so pretty, my favourite post so far is her 'sunny day' outfit.
  • Squirrel Shirt from Cath Kidston — With the upcoming opening of the Newbury store, I've been paying far too much attention to Cath Kidston recently. This squirrel-print shirt is adorable and in such lovely autumn colours.
  • Broccoli & Mushroom Quiche from Delightfully Tacky — Inspired by receiving my Flavrbox at the weekend (more on that later), I've been trying out lots of new food and recipes this week, and this could be one to add to the list.
  • 'Cat Stare' Leggings from Drop Dead — Not usually a company I look at as I'm not 15, but these are undeniably cute, not sure I'm quite edgy enough to pull them off though.

  • I'm hoping to get around to giving my blog a bit of a revamp this week as well as lining having a few post scheduled along the way. Now that I have a formal schedule it's actually a lot easier to blog, which I would have thought it wouldn't be given that I have a lot less time, weird.
