So these are my final draft spreads, with all the answers put in and without placeholder text, it feels good to have the basic elements finished but there are some finishing touches to be made before I'll feel confident enough to hand these in.
I may even change the advert yet, too and I'm not sure about the red, but going with the same colour throughout isn't something I've seen Company do in an article of this kind, yet.

In other news, the date of pitching to a band is looming, as in, it's tomorrow, I am seriously considering throwing it, it's making me so nervous. I don't really know what they want, I have no experience and the only reason I'm even going for it is so I can get some. My only ideas are already done, basic, band photography, although, maybe any band that doesn't really go in this direction, particularly as a new band starting out, I'm not sure how much of a chance they would have. ARGH, all that aside, it's driving me mad, whether I'm a competent photographer, or not.

Brief Four.

Probably the most ridiculous brief.
"Imagine that you guys are you, but five years into the future, a magazine has approached you to do a shoot at your old University to discuss your past and old haunts, even though you're now shooting for Tatler and Vogue."
*Gag. It wasn't worded exactly like that, but that's the general idea.

I took all the ones that I'm not in, but it was more a group effort anyway, even though it was a bit of a lazy idea for a Brief on the University's part, it's probably the first Brief where it's been relatively easy to work together as a group.

So, this is the first page, I've decided on Company, as I was going to do Cosmopolitan but it's for a wider age range and Company is more aimed at 18-24, exactly the age group of my models. While they don't do shoots like this all the time, I actually basically saw my article in this months issue - minus the photos, I'm so annoyed because if I use it in research it will look like I've copied them even though I've had this planned since February. I guess I will have to use it anyway.
I think if I keep going I should manage to finish by the end of the week, it wasn't as hard as I thought to edit Sam's face to be less over-exposed, it still is, but it's not so bad, and hopefully it won't be as obvious when printed out either - which I guess is the point.
Will keep posted as I progress, I hope this is ok.

Just printed this out and the original photo might look better; they all look so white, I think I'll need a professional opinion tomorrow.....

I think that playing golf on a sunny Saturday afternoon - especially if I'm not very good at it - is a much more useful and productive use of time than doing the work that's due in in just over two weeks.
In all seriousness, editing my images and putting everything into InDesign is what I should be getting on with for the next week, leaving the following week for printing, mounting and writing a Project Report - that I apparently don't have to write.
I'd better get cracking, it won't even take long to do the first task, it's just writing the article and the fact that it's kind of boring that puts me off.

Photoshopping faces.

Because it appears to be too much hassle to arrange another shoot at this time, and I have very little time to edit everything anyway. Urgh, this hasn't worked out too badly though, and luckily I don't have to do it for anyone else.

Duuhh.

This was so, so fun last night.

Could have done with some seating as they were sitting down and it wasn't a dancey affair, plus it felt like I'd been running around all over the place yesterday so I could have done with it. I was dying for around 45 minutes of it because I was so thirsty and it was so boiling. It was fun once I managed to get a drink though. The whole gig was an interesting experience, it wasn't just songs that I like, they had a lot of banter with the crowd and told a lot of jokes, the support, Bob Scheider was pretty good too.
At the end of the gig, people from the audience were allowed to take the set home, I saw one woman with a rug over her shoulder as she left.

So as well as the photography I did yesterday, I also modelled.

This is for Abbie's project, I've seen all the potential final images and it looks great, I can't wait to finish mine, I think there's a lot of editing to be done, and with only three weeks left(!)
