Fairly convinced that she may be part dog...
After lunch on Saturday, Moon and I drove over to Ranmore to have a nice relaxing walk, because walks are free and good for you.
Dorking is quite a nice place to be if you want to go for a walk, but because it had been a bit wet, it was a bit muddy which I was slightly unprepared for, although a tiny bit of mud never hurt anyone. I love a bit of autumn, the colours and textures get so much better, and it's so nice to be so cosy and wrapped up.
May or may not have picked up a couple of leaflets for future walks.
In reference to my previous post, I had to practically beg for this smiler. I think he was feeling sad because his lip hurt.
Moon waited ever so patiently for me while I papped some mushrooms, they were so funny looking, like something from The Moomins, I dare you to tell me that I'm wrong(!)
There are so many neat different kinds of mushroom lurking around in woodland areas, maybe I should take up mycology so I can find out if there are any that I can eat. But that would probably end up getting a bit too 'Into the Wild'y. I really like this post over at The Dainty Squid which showed a rainbow of mushrooms, so beaut.
I'm a bit sad that the sun wasn't out a bit more (because it showed it's face today), as I feel some of these woodland images look slightly flat in terms of lighting and a bit of sunlight shining through might have picked that up. /photography speak end/
I should probably upload this hi-res because it's almost redundant having it so small. But I hope you get the idea that Denbies Hillside has a wonderful view.
This hill stressed me out.
My poor boots, we also had an excitable spaniel-type dog bound over to us and muddy our legs, which was an event.
I hope that I'll be able to pop over to Denbies next week as the grapevines looked amazing when we drove past them on the way up to Ranmore. As much as I love Autumn, I'm not sure how i feel about it's unpredictable weather, but at least I vaguely know where I am with November.
After having a natter and a cup of tea with my Gran, we went over to Moon's house where his mum had bought us a romantic dinner for two.. well, cottage pie and salad and a couple of Gü puddings.
So nice.. then we had the standard Saturday X Factor Saturday night in, and caught up with all our favourite American programmes, which was the perfect way to end a relaxing weekend. I really feel like I made the most of my days off this time, I'm not really one for being rushed around too much.
Sorry for being a bit absent, for the sake of keeping a diary for myself I'm also unimpressed. I'm going to try and keep a bit more on top of things.
My puppy sits like your cat, he's always expecting you to give him food though ;)
ReplyDeleteThe mushrooms in the woods near where I live are the massive red ones with white spots, like from a fairytale or something. You clearly have better photography skills than me though (although that's how it should be seeing as you studied it!) because the photos I took of them were terrible :S
